    Tucked into the forested hills of Vikramgad in Palghar district, Nature Trails Sajan sits inside a landscape that the Warli people have called home for centuries. The resort is located on the Wada–Jawhar Road, 120 km from Mumbai, close enough for a weekend yet far enough to feel genuinely away.

    The property is built into the tree line rather than in spite of it. Red-roofed cottages, treetop rooms elevated above the canopy floor, and Warli-motif huts share the space with tall trees, open lawns, and a swimming pool that appears almost unexpectedly in the aerial view. It does not try to replicate a luxury hotel in the forest. It is, straightforwardly, a forest resort with comfortable beds and a full programme of outdoor activities.

    Families come here for the rope courses and kids' play areas. Corporate groups book the event hall and spend a day on team-building activities. Couples find the treetop rooms and campfire evenings reason enough. What most guests note, often with mild surprise, is how genuinely quiet it gets once the day's activities wind down.
