Hari Divekar, an electrical engineer by occupation,got fascinated with natural history & wildlife and became an active member of the Bombay Natural History Society back in 1972. In this journey with BNHS, he made great contributions to the field of wildlife research. He was published several research papers and organized nationwide exhibitions on snakes. He was invited by the IUCN, a UN body to present a paper on the Asiatic Wild Buffalo to Bangkok among other eminent naturalists across the world. Nature Trails began as his dream child and he continues to remain the inspiration behind the brand.
Chinmay worked with Colgate Palmolive for a short while in Marketing after he passed out of the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. He joined his father in 1997 and together they built the business and the brand. He introduced Adventure into Nature Trails. He is a history buff and loves to design and conduct expeditions. Since 1989, with an objective of providing quick natural getaways to people from metros, they acquired lands within 2 -3hours driving distance from Mumbai, Pune & Nashik and developed them into natural reserves. Their mission of establishing Nature Trails as a brand got accomplished after a long and hard struggle. ‘Nature Trails Resorts’ today is well-known for its unique offerings at unexplored yet easily accessible places in MaharashtraSterling Holiday Resorts Limited( A subsidiary of Thomas Cook India Limited) a pioneer in the Time Share Vacations Business in India acquired Nature Trails Resorts . The Nature Trails brand will not only continue to operate independently but will be expanded nationally.
