An hour from Sajan and you reach our Dabhosa Waterfall Resort a stunning undiscovered jewel in the Jawhar region. A roar of the 300 feet perennial waterfall is the only sound you will hear here other than the chirping of the birds. Rappelling over the waterfall, kayaking and zip lining in the Dabhosa valley are adrenaline boosting adventure activities here. Far away from the monsoon crowds this place is a heaven in the monsoons.The winding roads with emerald meadows have to be seen to be believed!
Durshet forest Lodge near Khopoli or Karjat is just a hour and ½ and has its own reserve forest of 35 acres with a natural waterfall for rappelling and a seasonal river for kayaking! Durshet is ideal as a takeoff point for lonavla, khandala or the pali and Mahad Ganpati’s. Bird spotting, monsoon treks and one day corporate and picnic activities are ideally done here
Drive further down from Durshet for less than an hour towards Kamath Village Kolad in the direction of Roha and you head to another unique property of Nature Trails Resorts, the Kundalika Rafting Camp. The ONLY River in Maharashtra where white water rafting is possible, the river kundalika, hugs this campsite. Predictably, we offer white water rafting as an activity here along with Kayaking and swimming in the still part of the Kundalika River.Trekking, birding and cycling trails in the 22 acre reserve forest of Kundalika rafting camp are additional activities enjoyed by our guests in Kundalika.
Near Mumbai but a bit far from the madding crowd at a driving distance of 6 hours is Koyna Backwater Camp near Mahableshwar. Koyna backwater camp, as its name suggests, is on the Koyna Dam backwaters a serene and stunningly beautiful lake stretching 65kms.The koyna wild life sanctuary which has been declared a Project Tiger sanctuary, the Vasota fort and a panorama of hills surround our Tents Only Back to Nature Campsite. No construction is our norm here. The windswept waters are ideal for Wind Surfing, an activity which we conduct during the summers with our trained instructors. Kayaking of an advanced level is also available here alongwith motor scooter rides, Mahableshwar markets and Panchgani strawberry farm visits.
